Summit Olympus Art Crawl is a multi venue art exhibition featuring cumulative works from Summit Olympus High Schools 20/21 class. Over the past year, students at Summit Olympus High School have been learning and participating in classes virtually through Zoom. While remote schooling has been challenging for all, it has also opened a window for new ways of growth and self-expression. In this show, students use a variety of mediums found in their homes, including graphite, photography, digital animation, watercolors, and pen, to present their perspectives on what it means to exist and grow up within a global pandemic. Touching upon themes of anxiety, stress, identity and what progress looks like in the midst of an ever-changing society. These art pieces explore the individual experiences of the artists with the communal experience of our Tacoma neighborhoods. – Kristen Guerra
