Artist statement:

“What is art?
Do we dream of art?
Is it in our movement?
The screaming?
Every day routines
The way you light a match?
Spark something new?
A belief system?
Faith?
Our own fucked up head?
It’s subjective for sure.

The lens from which we see the world
offers a small perspective of what it is
Can you look through someone else’s eyes?
Can you let someone inspire excitement?
Rather than jealousy?
Compersion?
Rather than comparison?
It’s it free flowing?
Are there rules to art?
Is it therapy?

Alleviate the pain
Over living every day
In a body that grows old
From the weary weight of the world
It is freedom.
Release.
Hope accomplishment.

Listen to your heart.
Let your soul experience extremes
Allow yo ur self to become immersed in the ambiance
Become completely undone.
With art.
My art.
Let it be your therapy.”

Nicole Donahoo (Frankie Nicole) is a licensed counselor and LMT whose career in healthcare and healing spans more than a decade. Her art career starting at age twelve, when she published her first poem. Her work blends the physical and the energetic; encompassing wordplay, creativity, experimentation, medical massage, Reiki, and meditation designed to help her clients release explore tension and deeper emotional blocks. Prompted by her own personal journey, she returned to school in 2020 to study psychology, eventually earning a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and Counseling from National University. Today, she is working to merge her artistic talents, therapeutic and counseling backgrounds into an integrative practice built around trauma recovery and self-empowerment. Beyond the treatment room, Nicole uses her passion as an artist, writer, dancer, model, and creator, to cultivate a growing online presence aimed at helping others make confident decisions about their lives and pursue their ambitions. She is an active participant in the Seattle dance community, including with the group Soulectro, and her academic achievements include Dean’s List recognition. Her professional philosophy is rooted in humanitarian values and a commitment to equality, and she is candid about the challenges she sees in the world — from systemic barriers facing people to the widespread impact of trauma and violence — framing them as opportunities to reshape how people relate to and support one another. Nicole’s guiding belief is that meaningful change comes from tuning inward to examine the soul and holding compassion for what it reflects. Her hope is that combining modalities that seem separate, will increase resilience and reclaim the sense of self. She credits her own progress to determination, curiosity, and a steady commitment to kindness, and she encourages the next generation; giving permission change course when a new path calls to them. In recognition of this work, she has been selected for inclusion in Influential Women 2026.
